Dan Söderqvist from Älgarnas Trädgård (Garden of the Elks) and Karls Gasleben from Anna Själv Tredje started Cosmic Overdose in 1978.
Inspired by the new wave in London with bands like Cabaret Voltaire and Joy Division they formed their own version of Punk and Synth with rather surrealistic lyrics in Swedish.
The Swedish punk rockers didn’t really understand Cosmic Overdose but the interest from USA and UK made them translate and record the ”best of” songs in English.
They were only released on an MC, but here they are to listen to. Enjoy a piece of great music!
