Sci-Fi Skane is Thomas Öberg and Jonas Jonasson, usually known from bob hund and Bergman Rock.
For a long time these childhood friends had this dream, to make a solo album – together.
It is no secret that Kraftwerk right from the early days has been a great inspiration to the both of them. So in Sci-Fi Skane they use synthesizers and rhythm boxes to create music that accompanies Thomas lyrics about the condition of our planet and about life in Sweden today.
The music is bubbling and boiling by Jonas Jonasson’s inventive way of handling the synths and lingers under and around Thomas’ playful lyrics, here a little darker and more melancholic than we are used to hear him in bob hund and Bergman Rock.
